The aim of this post is to describe Why this non-profit website is unique. And the answer is that it’s because it has the most robust functionality.
It is common for most website designers to draw inspiration from a certain common realm when designing websites. Being innovative and creative is all about expanding that realm and trying to find new ways to achieve the goals set for the project, and that is always the approach we take with each and every one of our creations.
This website, built by We Are Immediate, features a robust resource guide with articles, videos, pdf downloads, and links to other useful sites. In order to make it easier for users to find everything quickly the website has an interactive user interface with an easy-to-use search bar, filters, and sidebar, which allows you to browse through the different categories, such as articles, videos, and pdf downloads. You can also search for specific keywords, and the website will display relevant results. The website also has links to other related websites and resources, so you can easily find more complementary information. The website also has an FAQ section, which provides answers to commonly asked questions.
These are the sections this website features:
Homepage | We decided to turn it into an overview/summary of the whole website, with different areas containing snippets from every section. The top hero features a video (instead of the usual image) showing different projects the organization completed and how they impact lives, along with an easy-to-use search bar, and shortcuts to important sections of the website we believe deserve extra attention from the public. It also contains a carousel with the latest news and events posts, making it easier for the user to stay up to date. In addition, we included a section with the most important programs the organization offers, and a great looking before & after area to showcase the results achieved by them.
Our Mission | The “About Us” page is designed to let the users get to know the non-profit, to describe your mission and your history, to talk about your partnerships, to talk about your expertise, to show the impact you have on the community, to list every service you offer, and to talk about your leaders and your staff. In short, this page is designed to build trust between the organization and the visitors.
Team | This section includes full individual bio pages with a brief biography about the staff member, links to their social media accounts, and also links to the articles they wrote. Additionally, the page can feature photos and videos of the staff member, as well as a list of the awards they have won or accolades they have received. The page should be easy to navigate and should be kept up–to–date.
Programs | In this simple and straightforward section, we listed all the programs and services the organization offers, along with buttons that link to their individual pages for more complementary information. We also included a Contact Form at the very top, in case the users are not sure which program is the one they’re looking for.
Donation| Being one of the most important pages on the entire website, this has to include, aside from the Donation Form (by Donorbox), a few more sections that will build trust and allow the user the give with confidence. In this case, we included an introduction to describe the organization’s mission, then we suggest other ways to support them, such as getting memberships, event sponsorship, and using their online store, and we also talk about this nonprofit as being top-rated on donor information sites including GreatNonprofits, Guidestar, and Charity Navigator.
Impact| A website’s Impact page is a section of the website dedicated to highlighting the positive effects the organization has had on the local community. This page can include a variety of information such as successes, stories, statistics, and testimonies from people who have been positively impacted by the organization. As a result, you help visitors to the website feel connected to you and your mission.
Webinars & Events| This page is a great way for the organization to educate their public, and for visitors to stay up-to-date on the latest news and happenings. It allows visitors to view upcoming webinars and events, as well as past webinars and events that have already taken place. The page typically includes important information such as the event’s title, description, date, time, and location, as well as a registration link, if applicable. It may also include additional details such as a list of speakers and topics, and a link to the recorded version of the webinar. A well-organized webinar page is one of the main reasons why this non-profit website is unique.
